Performing new compositions of me with lyrics by Gertrude Stein.
Værket hører med til Steins undersøgelse af portrætgenren, men denne gang portrætterer Stein ikke personer, men “rooms and food and everything because there I could avoid this difficulty of suggesting remembering more easily … than if I were to describe human beings.” som Stein selv forklarer i forordet til 1997-udgaven af TENDER BUTTONS (Dover Publications).

The recognized double bass player, Joel Illerhag, has assembled a choir of five strong female voices and created The Nephilim Ensemble.
The female voices guide you into a mythical place, where the rhythm and tones of the double bass shifts between sensitive longing and steely will. This evening you will experience original music that is deeply engaging to the audience.
Joel succeeds with this goal through his unique and personal sound on the double bass, on which he has build 50 strings of resonance under the standard four. The instrument is called a “Bazantar”, and tonight it will make you rediscover the spiritual depth and beauty of the double bass.
