The Danish composers and improvisers Randi Pontoppidan and Christian Rønn are releasing their second collaborative album, “Shadow Moves” (Niche Records, 2020). The album builds on their critically acclaimed debut “Headspace” (Chant Records, 2020) and explores new musical landscapes where prepared piano, extended vocal techniques, and live electronics merge into an organic expression.
Shadow Moves moves between lush acoustic textures and raw, abstract soundscapes, inviting the listener on intergalactic journeys where time and gravity dissolve. A genre-defying work that challenges the boundaries of musical communication and invites deep listening and repeated exploration.
